XDA's all about community and development, and we chose the phones that are supported by passionate developers and development teams. Away from audio there’s a lovely 5.5″ AMOLED QHD screen, a Snapdragon 820 chipset with 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. A superb camera with OIS and Quick Charge 3.0 compatibility over USB Type C, and the Axon 7 is almost impossible not to recommend.

Best Overall Cordless Phone
We did wish that it hyphenated phone numbers when entered, though. To test each model's sound quality, we set up the base of each phone and moved the handset a consistent distance away. We then left a voicemail on Google Voice with each model and read a passage from a book (Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne). Next, our panel of listeners rated each message's quality and characteristics without knowing the handset's make or model. We pushed each phone to its limits, even if that meant walking hundreds of feet to determine its maximum range. We also ran dozens of hours of recordings to ascertain how long you can talk on each model.

Because the Pixel 2 XL has much smaller bezels and a 76 percent screen-to-body ratio, the difference in sizes isn’t quite as dramatic as you might think. The thing to consider is that the Pixel 2 XL costs two hundred more dollars and doesn’t add any significant feature or piece of technology. If the difference in size and design don’t mean much to you, the Pixel 2 is probably the one you want to pick up. Oppo's R9s is proof that midrange phones have flagship features in their sights.
Panasonic KX-TGM420W + KX-TGMA44W
If you are searching for the absolute best when it comes to cordless phones, we highly recommend the Panasonic KX-TGM420W + KX-TGMA44W. This phone is one of the easiest-to-use models, pairing that user-friendliness with exceptionally crystal-clear sound quality and impressively long range. This versatile phone offers plenty of features, like an integrated answering machine and the ability to expand the system with additional handsets. It also has a very long battery life, lasting for more than 14 hours in our talk time test. The budget Android handset segment is the fastest growing one in the smartphone market.

If you are looking for a bare essential smartphone on a budget, the Redmi 4 from Xiaomi is your best bet. Available in India and China, the Redmi 4 packs in a lot of smartphone for its price of $150. It features a 5-inch 720p display and is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 435 chipset clocked at 1.4GHz. Xiaomi sells two variants of the Redmi 4, one with 3GB RAM/32GB storage and another with 2GB RAM/16GB storage. The latter is a wee bit cheaper, though ideally, you should try and purchase the 3GB RAM variant. And as if the relatively powerful internals were not already enough, the Redmi 4 also comes with a metal build and a fingerprint scanner at its rear.
Galaxy Note 8
The camera remains top of the class and the Pixel 2 supports Portrait Mode for selfies — something the iPhone 8 Plus can’t do. It offers a new “squeeze” for Android Assistant capability, ships with Android 8.0 and Google is currently including a free Google Home Mini smart speaker with orders. But don’t start thinking about how you’re going to finance this beast just yet. So unless you’re certain you need a big phone with a stylus, you should probably look elsewhere. Regardless, the Galaxy S8, which can now be found for well below its retail price, remains one of the best flagships on the market.

With so many impressive options available, there's no reason for that. While this list covers five of the best cheap Android phones, the mid-range smartphone market is brimming with many candidates. While Android phone manufacturers have truly made cheaper, high-quality smartphones a reality, there is still the issue of availability.
The phone is powered by an octa-core processor and contains around 4 GM of RAM. The Top 10 Smartphones 2017 are the best mobile phones of the year 2017. From Samsung to apple, every company is ready to compete and provide proficient and indulging features for the users. A corded phone can draw power over the incoming phone line, while a cordless handset has an internal, rechargeable battery that will recharge through the base of the phone. One of the models tested, the AT&T TL86103, has a corded handset on its base, allowing it to operate in a telephone line power mode. This would be something to consider if you lived in a place that commonly had power outages, as this phone will continue to work in a situation where the power is out, but the phone line is still intact.

Two years ago, we set out to answer this question for the very first time with Best of Android 2015, with Samsung’s Galaxy Note 5 topping five competitors to become the inaugural Phone of the Year. Last year, we made Best of Android even bigger, with the budget-friendly OnePlus 3T knocking out nine other flagships to take home the crown. The OLED display is gorgeous, the screen-to-phone ratio is a perfect fit in the hand and the design is the best yet from Apple, which is saying something.
Considering that the Samsung Galaxy S8 is only in 10th position, this is an impressive achievement for a handset that was released last year and is only around $260. Coming very soon indeed, with a reveal on January 12, the HTC U Ultra may be HTC's flagship phone for 2017. A leaked video from Evan Blass about HTC's "CMF kitchen" suggests radical body materials including "super fibers" and gradiated colors. Other leaks/rumors claim the phone will have a six-inch display, no headphone jack, and a UI that uses gestures to navigate. I'm personally hoping for some of the innovations from the otherwise-unexciting HTC Bolt, including the best modem available for fast LTE speeds, personally adapted audio, and water resistance.
We touched on this a little earlier, but we have a full explainer of the technology as well. Essentially, it's a standard in cordless phones that ensure that a phone has great range and call clarity. Plus, DECT phones can intercom with each other and use VOIP, or internet telephony, services like Vonage or Ooma that will send your calls over the internet rather than via the traditional phone network. This two-handset system is under $40, but it doesn't come with an answering machine. The VTech system does come with technology to keep your calls loud and clear, so if you just want a simple cordless phone for your landline…Well, you’re all done.
This feature allows you to leave your phone charging by the base, with any incoming calls passed to all of the handsets of the TL96273. This feature is particularly handy if you don't like carrying your cell phone with you or if you only get good cell service in a certain area of your home. Unfortunately, this impressive performance comes at a price, and this phone has one of the higher price tags in the group.
Apple's larger iPhone has a few distinct advantages, and its dual cameras can pull off some clever tricks. As it happens, the answer here is that the handset just mentioned, the OnePlus 5 probably wins out again, but I’m not going to copy what I’ve already written. The upcoming Google Pixel 2 will wrest the crown, of course, but that won’t be announced for at least a couple of months which is what makes things a bit difficult. If you can wait and money is not an issue for you, I will strongly recommend you to wait for the Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2.
